Vivaldi The Four Seasons
A worthy heir to the great Russian tradition, Sergej Krylov trained in Moscow and was admitted to the prestigious Tchaikovsky Conservatoire at the age of ten. This legendary Russian violin virtuoso brings equal agility to the most difficult works. His dazzling, committed style of playing verges on the fearless. This evening he will be wearing two hats – soloist and conductor – in a very rich programme conducting the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra, founded in 1960, which has built up a truly excellent reputation over five decades.
