Young Canadian prodigy Jan Liseicki has inherited Slavonic roots from his parents, and this is obvious in his playing. Born in 1995, he has already demonstrated audacity and flair in an international career which has allowed him to play with some of the most prestigious symphony orchestras in the world (Philadelphia, Cleveland, San Francisco) and to make three acclaimed recordings for Deutsche Grammophon. While he is applauded for the exceptional maturity of his interpretations, his natural affinity with the repertoire he tackles (Mozart, Chopin, and Schumann in particular) confirm that he is endowed with exceptional talent. His strong musical personality and the diversity of his playing undoubtedly mark him out as one of the greats of the future. Make a note of his name and don’t miss the opportunity to hear him.
